Seek Alt. Route (25" x 44" digital mixed media on paper)
	Delays and detours brought about by the Big Dig are unavoidable, even to pedestrians like me. This piece is dedicated to all of those trips across the city that were altered, slowed-down, and otherwise ruined because I was told to "seek alt routes"by those ever-present orange signs. The figures in this piece are fellow commuters who are trying to figure out a new way to get to their destination. The buildings, trucks, and roads behind them are a mishmash of photos I shot of big dig construction sites over the past year..
